Flawed Celebrity

This artwork is the culmination of a series influenced by “The Celebrity Status“ whose facile and shallow values are a huge influence on the youth of today! This tongue in cheek work uses the Chihuahua as a metaphor for the celebrity status that seems pure but is flawed at the same time. The glittering jewellery and surface of the dog makes for an uneasy encounter. When one gets beyond the idea of pure and into the realm of the real – flawed person, we can see no end of decadence surrounding us.
